DMYD's Mission:
- To provide high quality dance classes in a range of dance styles
- To create and maintain a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in all classes
- To allow each child to express themselves through movement and creativity
- To inspire all dancers to be confident and passionate about dancing and performance
Code of Conduct:
Punctuality – It is vital that students arrive in good time for their classes. If students are late for class, they may miss vital information as well as hinder the learning of others and place themselves at risk of injury, should they miss the warm up section of the class.
Discipline – Students are expected to behave in an orderly, civilised and well mannered fashion and show respect to all teachers and team members of DMYD. Students are also expected to show respect and be kind to other member of DMYD.
Social Media – DMYD will not publish or post any images or videos of children under the age of 18, on any of its social media without parental consent. Minimal or no personal information is published alongside our images. We ask that all parents, guardians and students also follow these guidelines.
Have fun! - These classes are here for your child to have fun whilst improving their skills in something they enjoy!
Payment & Fees Terms and Conditions:
Payments are due termly and are expected to be paid before attending DMYD classes. You will be sent an invoice via class4kids.
- All new starters are entitled to one free session
- Holiday must be booked 14 days in advance, in writing. If you do not inform Daisy then you will be charged for missed sessions.
- If your child is ill, please let Daisy know as soon as possible, as missed sessions may be able to be taken over to the following month.
- If your child is experiencing long term illness then please inform Daisy as soon as possible.
- If your children attend multiple classes, 10% discount will be applied.
- If you do not inform Daisy that your child is missing a class, you will definitely be charged for the missed session.
- Classes will not be refunded - If classes are missed, your child can attend another suitable class during the week.
Registration Fee:
DMYD request a one off registration fee of £20. This should be paid after your child's free trial. The registration fee includes a DMYD T-shirt (grey, white or black)
Purchases / Refunds:
- Purchased tickets for shows and events are non refundable.
- Classes will not be refunded
- In the event of severe weather conditions classes may need to be cancelled. In this case you can make up your child's missed class at a future date or bring them to another dance session from the timetable.
- If you decide to leave DMYD mid month, you will not be refunded the remaining months payment.
Dance wear / Uniform:
All DMYD students must purchase at least one item of uniform. You will be given a uniform list when you sign up to DMYD. You can view these items on Facebook, Instagram and our website. - Please note all items are made to order so therefore are non refundable.
Listed below is a guideline of what should be worn to classes.
Ballet classes:
Ballet shoes, leotards, ballet tights, ballet skirts.
Contemporary classes:
Comfortable and non restricting clothing. Typically leggings, tracksuit bottoms or shorts with a top or vest. We dance in bare feet.
Street classes / Commercial classes:
Comfortable and non restricting clothing. Typically leggings, tracksuit bottoms or shorts with a top or vest. We encourage children to dance in trainers.
Gymnastics / Acro:
Leggings and a top or gymnastics leotard
